Synopsis

Centre Léon Bérard has been conducting research about patient set-up in the upright orientation for radiation therapy on the first-ever upright patient positioning system from Leo Cancer Care.

Sophie Boisbouvier has been researching and setting up patients who are being treated for pelvic cancers and will demo how she does this, using immobilisation devices kindly provided by CIVCO Radiotherapy. Stephen Towe will interview the team from the Centre Léon Bérard and discuss why they are interested in upright radiation therapy, what the research has identified so far, and the exciting plans for future research.
